Level 1

Visual Memory

The skill which enables you to recall or remember the visual details of what you have seen. A child has to remember what they read and recognize a word from one page to the next. Difficulties with this skill can also make copying from a board or book much more challenging; a child might take longer to copy an assignment because they find it difficult to retain the information and transfer it from the board to their own page.

A child with poor visual memory may also struggle to:

  • recognize numbers and letters

  • remember sight words

Completing the exercises below will help your child/pupil improve in this area.

Connecting the Dots

In these exercises, you are required to memorise the pattern and then copy it on to a new grid.

Shape Jungle

In these exercises, you are required to memorise the pattern and then try to replicate it on a new sheet of paper.
